FOREWORD

      Since the days of old, we have looked for and appreciated artists that have gone beyond the technique, gestual and composition of the norm. Even though all of these elements are essential to the quality of the work, they remain secondary to the artist if they are without soul and a unique style.

      Throughout history, the great masters have developed new modes of representation that has become personal reflection of their talent. These new representations challenge us to re-orient ourselves towards our aesthetical, personal and social values.

      Labour and research are not substitutes for the artist creativity but rather are complementary and even necessary to transpose the artist's imagery into emotional intensity. Their avant-garde approaches has succeeded brilliantly in mastering these elements because of this, they are easily recognised by their admirers.
